Ovulation Calculators are a great help for women trying to conceive, or already pregnant or who simply want to find out “safe days” for having intercourse without contraceptives. An Ovulation Calculator uses the dates and lengths of a woman's menstruation to determine the time she ovulating and is most fertile.
Fast Facts about Ovulation Calculators:
- Tool in becoming pregnant
- Predicts approximate ovulation dates
- Need to know first day of last menstrual cycle
- Each woman's cycle is different
- Not reliable birth control method
- Many free on-line ovulation calculators available
Ovulation Calculators require little information from you like the exact starting date of your last Menstrual period, the average length of cycles and the average Luteal Phase length. The Luteal Phase is the interval starting the day after ovulation takes place and runs through the remainder of your menstrual cycle to day one of your next cycle. The length of your LP - or luteal phase - will typically be between 11 and 16 days.
The output of the Calculator normally shows the estimated: Ovulation date, Due date (delivery date) and estimated Fetal age.
